About Us
Core Psych, PLLC is an integrated mental health clinic, with psychiatry at the core of our services. Our clinic provides a safe, relaxing, and culturally competent environment. Our mental health services include psychiatric and psychological assessments, testing, and interventions. We also provide treatment for substance use disorders (addiction) and those in early recovery. We accept most private and state insurances. Our clinic specializes in mild to moderate mental health problems and we do a thorough screening prior to accepting new patients in order to ensure that we can assist you. If we are unable to provide services, we will refer to an appropriate center.
Meet Our Expert Team
Shady Shebak, MD
Psychiatrist & Medical Director
Dr. Shebak graduated from the University of Michigan–Dearborn with a degree in Psychology and completed his MD at the American University of the Caribbean.
He trained in general psychiatry at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Michigan State University, including a year of child and adolescent psychiatry. He has extensive inpatient and outpatient experience. His interests include treating adolescents and young adults, mood and personality disorders, and culturally appropriate care. He has presented at multiple conferences on cultural competency, narrative learning theory, and medical education.
Tony Singh, DO
Psychiatrist & Associate Medical Director
Dr. Singh earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2020.
He completed his psychiatry residency at Detroit Authority Health in 2024. Dr. Singh follows a holistic approach integrating biological, psychological, and social factors for lasting well-being. He provides compassionate, evidence-based care for adults, adolescents, and children.
Youssef Makki, PMHNP
Chief of Staff & Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Youssef began his journey in mental health as a social worker with a Bachelor in Social Work from Wayne State University.
He earned his nursing degree from Madonna University and a Master’s in Nursing with a psychiatric specialty from Northern Kentucky University. His experience includes working with developmentally disabled populations and psychiatric care in multiple settings. He completed his practicum at Core Psych and hopes to pursue a Doctorate in Nursing. In his free time, Youssef enjoys gardening.
